doctorwho:

Wow, we’ve been posting a whole bunch of announcements today: cinema screenings and special programming. August is shaping up to be super exciting!

Leading up to the premiere of Series 8 on August 23rd, BBC America will be premiering a whole bunch of all new never before seen super fun specials-
Saturday, August 16 at 9:00pm ET- Doctor Who: The Ultimate Companion
Saturday, August 16 at 10:00PM ET- Real History of Science Fiction
Monday, August 18 at 10:00pm ET- Doctor Who: The Ultimate Time Lord

In addition to those new specials, starting Monday, August 18 at 8:00am ET, BBC America will be starting the Doctor Who Takeover Week, where Doctor Who will be airing all week long.
To top it all off, right before the premiere of Deep Breath, Chris Hardwick (Nerdist, superfan, host of @Midnight ) will be hosting a Doctor Who: Live Pre-Show at 7:30pm ET and Doctor Who: After Who Live at 11:00pm ET following the premiere of Intruders. Both the pre- and post-show will feature a whole bunch of awesome guests including Mark Gatiss, and will include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

And that’s not all! Next week on August 6th, you and all of your friends (and maybe even your pets, if you can teach them how to internet) will have the chance to vote for your favorite episodes over on BBCAmerica.com. The top selections of this "Make Your Own Sunday" poll will be aired on August 24 as part of a BBC America marathon.
Take a deep breath, folks. There’s a lot of stuff going on this month, and it’s gonna be fantastic.

  • Abraham Lincoln never fought vampires or zombies
  • Adolph Hitler was not machine gunned to death in a movie theater in Paris
  • Marty McFly did not invent Rock and Roll
  • Richard Nixon never dispatched Dr. Manhattan to end the Vietnam War

You never complained about these changes to history, so shut the fuck up about a black man playing a fictional spy, you idiotic, racist pricks.

An Indiana police officer has kept his job after pushing over a man in a wheelchair – despite his entire department demanding he be fired.Lafayette Police Department Lieutenant Tom Davidson can be seen on video, dated October 1st last year, shoving paraplegic Nicholas Kincade. The assault appears to be prompted by Mr Kincade bumping Lt Davidson’s foot with his motorised wheelchair.

The incident occurred near the Excel School in Indianapolis, where police were called by school staff after Mr Kincade allegedly told them he had a gun in his backpack.

Responding officers quickly found the man didn’t have a gun and he was told that he could leave with a trespassing warning, at the school’s request.

According to Turnto23, Lt Davidson was put on leave during an investigation into his actions, but despite his department saying that he should be fired, the Lafayette Police Civil Service Commision – who vote on hiring and firing officers – instead ruled ‘unbecoming conduct’ and sentenced him to a 30-day unpaid suspension and a drop in rank.

Petition to ban old men from writing books just because they don’t know how to use an iPhone

Petition to have the youth in this country to actually educate themselves instead of spitting out some bullshit they read on some shitty post on facebook that’s untrue, and continues to spread like wildfire.

In 2012, young adults set the record of completing both high school and college and are on course to become the most educated generation in American history. Maybe you should follow the example of ‘the youth in this country’ and do the same.
